Cisco IP Phone 79XX User Guide
Hold:
- When on a call, press the button at the bottom left of your screen that displays hold above it.
- To resume a call, press the button at the bottom left of your screen that displays resume
above it.
Transfer:
- Press the button that displays transfer above it.
- Dial the number of the person you want to transfer to.
- Press the button that displays transfer above it again.
Transfer to Voicemail:
- Press the button that displays transfer above it.
- Press # and dial the extension
- Press the button that displays transfer above it again.
Conference:
- While on a call, press the button that displays more above it.
- Next, press the button that displays conference above it.
- Your caller will be put on hold, you will hear dial tone.
- Dial the second person you’d like on the call.
- When they answer, press the conference button again.
- This will put your 2 callers on the same line.
- To add more participants to the call, repeat the above steps.
Answering Overline:
- When you are on a call, and a second call comes in, the button at the left of your phone will change to answer.
- Press the answer button and your first call will be put on hold, and you will be on your 2nd line.
Toggle Between Calls:
- To toggle between 2 calls, press the button that displays hold above it.
- Press the up/down arrow to the right of your keypad to select the other call.
- Press the button that displays resume above it.
- Repeat the above to switch back and forth between lines.
Speed Dials:

Go to https://can-cucm1.canaccord.com/ccmuser/
- Logon credentials are the same as your Windows login username and password.
- Click on Phone Settings.
- Select Speed Dial Numbers.
- Choose Add New Speed Dial.
- Enter the phone # and display text in the allocated fields.
- Press save at the top of the screen for changes to take effect.
Speed Dials not Associated with a Button:

These can also be added at https://can-cucm1.canaccord.com/ccmuser/
- Follow the instructions above to program speed dials.
- These will not show up on your phone display
- To dial, leave your handset in the cradle and use your keypad to dial the corresponding # of your speed dial.
- Press the button that displays AbbrDial above it.
- Pick-up the handset – your call will dial.
