Execlear and terminal emulation via SSH
In addition to the Dataphile Desktop application, we have a need for users to connect directly to Broadridge for financial operations (such as settlements). Broadridge refers to this service as Execlear.
To connect, it is required to start an SSH session with Broadridge. In the past, we used a program called QVT to connect to Execlear. Now we use Tera Term to do so.
Recently, we started getting an error message for unknown HMAC algorithm. The error message is below:
This error is because the Tera Term software is from 2011 (version 71) and is no longer supported on the older encryption protocols. Upgrading to version 106 or higher of Tera Term resolved this issue.
